John Haworth
John Haworth studied the violin with Steven Wilkie at theRoyal Northern College of Music, playing in masterclasses with Benedict Holland and Levon Chilingirian and attending summer courses with Yossi Zivoni in Bruges and Oviedo. He completed a Master’s degree at Trinity Laban, where he was taught by Diana Cummings. At Trinity he led the String Ensemble, at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, as part of the London Jazz Festival, Trinity Symphony Orchestra and Contemporary Music Group.
In 2008 and 2009 he studied with Evgeny Grach at the AIMS Academy at Solsona, Catalunya. John is a freelance performer and teacher in South West London, currently Leader of Thames Philharmonia, Principal Second Violin of St Paul’s Sinfonia and a member of the Aralt String Quartet.
Suzanne Loze – Retired

Suzanne Loze’s early violin studies were with her grandfather before going on to study with Erika Klemperer at the Guildhall School of Music. She graduated in 1985 to become a freelance player with various orchestras working mostly with The London Mozart Players. In 1988 she joined the Bournemouth Sinfonietta and became co-principal 2nd violin until the orchestra’s demise in 1999.
Since then she has freelanced with most of the London orchestras which include the RPO, Philharmonia, CLS, LS, ENO and many others. For a couple of years she was also guest 2nd violin leader with the CBSO. As well as playing regularly in Phantom of the Opera, Suzanne is also a member of the Britten Sinfonia. She recently worked with both Burt Bacharach and Quincy Jones, celebrating his 85th birthday.
Suzanne is also a member of the Cirrus string quartet. She teaches at both Brentwood and Great Baddow High Schools as well as teaching privately. In November 2017 she was asked to adjudicate the strings in the Chelmsford Festival. She has been leader of ECHO since 2006, with whom she was soloist when the orchestra performed the Beethoven Violin Concerto.
